Performance Bonding Solutions for Industrial Wood Manufacturing
TS Resins has been a manufacturer of wood adhesives for more than 75 years, producing urea-based systems at our site in Mold, North Wales. Our range is strengthened through our partnership with Dynea, who manufacture and supply melamine, phenol and phenol-resorcinol adhesives under the well-established “Prefere” brand. Prefere Resins are name recognised for strength and bonding performance.
Together, these interior and exterior adhesive systems support a wide range of industrial wood applications including panel production, laminates, joinery, laminated beams, glulam and cross-laminated timber (CLT). We offer formulations that meet a broad spectrum of international standards. This portfolio is further expanded with Dynea’s polyvinyl acetate (PVAc) and emulsion polymer isocyanate (EPI) technologies, providing flexible bonding options for both interior and exterior use. Dynea has also developed series of low-emission adhesives. Including low-VOC wood glues, enabling manufactures to meet stringent exposure requirements without compromising bond strength or versatility.
We hold stock of our wood adhesives at our North Wales warehouse, ensuring prompt supplier delivery across the UK and Ireland. Adhesives are available in multiple pack sizes, from bulk tanker loads to IBCs and 25-litre drums.
This gives manufacturers flexible supply options. By keeping adhesives locally available, we help reduce lead times, strengthen supply security, and keep production lines running.
TS Resins provides direct access to on-site adhesive specialists, offering technical advice and support to ensure a smooth transition to our bonding systems. Our team works closely with customers to optimise adhesive performance, minimise production risks and maintain compliance with industry standards.
What types of wood adhesives does TS Resins supply?
TS Resins supplies a full range of Urea, Melamine, Phenol, PVAc, EPI and Phenol-Resorcinol based adhesives, supporting both interior and exterior wood applications.
What applications are your adhesives suitable for?
Our adhesives are used across furniture manufacturing, cabinetry, veneering, form bending, timber construction, structural engineered wood, laminating, cross laminated timber and laminated veneered lumber.
Do you offer resins for EN 204, EN 301, EN 314, and EN 12765 standards?
Yes, we supply adhesives for all these standards.
What are the advantages of formaldehyde-based adhesives?
Formaldehyde-based adhesive systems remain widely used in engineered wood production because they offer strong, durable bonds with excellent moisture resistance. Their two-component design allows the resin and hardener to be tuned for different manufacturing conditions, providing flexibility in assembly times and performance. UF adhesives offer a low cost bonding solution where item cost is important.
What is a two-part adhesive system?
A two-part adhesive system consists of a resin and a hardener. When mixed together in the correct ratio, the hardener triggers a chemical reaction that cures the resin into a rigid adhesive. By selecting different hardeners or adjusting the mix, the cure speed and final bond properties can be tailored to suit different applications.
Technical Capabilities
Can you customise adhesive formulations to suit our production needs?
Yes, we offer tailored adhesive systems to match your application processes, substrates, and production speeds, from rapid curing to moisture resistance.
Do your wood adhesives work with radio-frequency (RF) or hot press systems?
Yes. Our range includes adhesives optimised for both RF and conventional hot press processes.
What’s the shelf life and storage requirement for your resins?
Shelf life typically ranges from 2 to 6 months, depending on the resin type. Detailed storage guidance is included on each product’s Technical Data Sheet.
Supply & Support
What pack sizes are available?
Products are available in Bulk, IBCs, drums and 25 litre drums.
Do you offer technical support or site trials?
Yes. Our technical team can support on-site trials, troubleshooting, and optimisation to ensure maximum performance from our adhesives.
Can TS Resins help us switch from our current adhesive supplier?
Yes. We have experience supporting transitions with full technical support, application matching, and supply chain integration.
