Effective Emission Reduction

Efficient Nitrogen Delivery with Reduced Loss Risk

NUE28 delivers nitrogen directly to the leaf surface through foliar application, helping to reduce the risk of volatilisation losses commonly associated with traditional soil-applied fertilisers.

Unlike broadcast applications that can leave nitrogen exposed at the soil surface and to the surrounding environment, foliar application limits this initial contact. This helps retain more nitrogen in a plant-available form during early uptake.

NUE28’s methylene urea formulation is designed to provide a more gradual nitrogen release that better matches crop uptake over time, supporting more efficient nutrient use.

This targeted delivery supports a more consistent crop response and improved use of applied inputs, contributing to responsible and effective nutrient management.

Lower Environmental Impact from Leaching and Run-Off

Applying NUE28 as a foliar feed reduces the amount of nitrogen entering the soil at the point of application. This helps lessen the immediate risk of nitrate leaching, particularly in high-rainfall conditions or on free-draining soils where conventional nitrogen sources are more susceptible to loss.

While some spray may reach the soil or be washed from the foliage during rainfall, the methylene urea within NUE28 releases nitrogen gradually. This slower release makes it less prone to rapid leaching than highly soluble fertilisers.

When used as part of an integrated nutrient management strategy, NUE28 provides growers with a more controlled nitrogen source that supports responsible nutrient use. This includes use within Nitrate Vulnerable Zones (NVZs), where careful nitrogen management and considered application practices are essential.
